Mission statement:

Our aim is for every learner to be able to move seamlessly from LeAF Studio into employment, professional performance, or university, equipped with the necessary skills, knowledge and understanding to purposefully engage in all of the challenges and opportunities they will experience.

Students will graduate from the LeAF Studio with:

· Good academic qualifications.

· Vocationally specific learning.

· Relevant sector specific skills and experience in an industry of individual interest.

· Confidence to apply their learning in a workplace setting.

· Ambition to be successful in their chosen career field.

· Clear direct on how to fulfil their career ambitions.

Our LeAF mantra is Perform to Your Potential

LeAF Studio recognises that children and young people have a fundamental right to be protected from harm or exploitation and that, unless they feel secure, children cannot learn effectively. LeAF Studio ensures it provides a school environment which promotes self-confidence, a feeling of worth and the knowledge that students’ concerns, no matter how expressed, will be listened to and acted upon.

LeAF Studio actively promotes British Values where the values of democracy, the law, individual liberty, mutual respect, and tolerance for others supports the student’s development into well-rounded adults.

What is a Studio School?

Studio Schools offer a pioneering approach to learning which includes teaching through enterprise and real work experience. It has been recognised that there can sometimes be a gap between the knowledge and experience a young person gains in the current school system and that which they will need to flourish and thrive when they finish their compulsory education and progress into a job or further/higher education.
